Dupuy grew up in Haiti as daughter of a sociologist who often told his children “The life that we have is not the life of everyone in Haiti. We have to contribute to make this country a better one”. This inspired her to work in Public Health. After obtaining her MPH, she returned to Haiti and since November 2006 has been working as the Deputy Director of PSI/Haiti, an NGO that focuses on promoting HIV/AIDS prevention, Malaria, Family planning and maternal and child health through social marketing and communication programs. “Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Being from a place where there is so much need in terms of development as well as so much hope for a better future is what empowers my actions every day ,” Dupuy says.
